The purpose of the organization will be to enhance students in the areas of leadership, civic responsibility, and campus consciousness.

Minority Student Medical Forum

Minority Student Medical Forum (MSMF) mission is to seek out answers to questions and provide a system of peer support among minority pre-medicine students (and non-minority students alike). MSMF is an organization that provides a monthly round-table discussion, in an effort to bring unity and comfort between peers. Minority Student Medical Forum will discuss everything from medicine to classes to current events; to make for a comfortable think-tank that doesn’t segregate or intimidate. When it's all said and done, MSMF is a place where all students from all backgrounds can come and sit down once a month and discuss and ask questions and be comfortable asking them. Advocates of Greater Health for Women

Advocates of Greater Health for Women (AGHW) mission is to educate and support women's health through the creation of student outreach advocates. We hope to improve the lives of women physically, mentally, and socially through means of prevention, intervention, and health education. For more information, contact Diana Arellano at darella2@illinois.edu.

Outreach

Students are invited to various college and cross-campus events including the alumni speaker series, social events, and presentations in the areas of career and professional development and graduate schools.

Civic Engagement and Community Partnerships

Educational attainment is a powerful predictor of civic engagement. Educational experience that allows students to participate in an organized service activity meets identified community needs and allows students to gain an enhanced sense of civic responsibility. The Mannie L. Jackson Illinois Academic Enrichment and Leadership Program has partnerships on campus and in the Champaign-Urbana Community.
