Faculty Profile

Dr. Gabrielle (Gabie) Dillon earned a BS in Health Sciences from Drake University (Des Moines, IA) and a PhD in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA). Following her PhD, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN). Dr. Dillon’s research focuses on understanding the physiological mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease. She has a particular interest in female health across the lifespan, including studying how menopause impacts vascular health. The overall goal of her work is to identify and optimize targeted prevention and therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular disease, such as physical activity.
