Electives/Seminars

Students must complete a minimum of 3 credits toward graduate level elective or seminar courses. We encourage students to investigate the wide variety of courses offered throughout the University that cover topics important for public health. All students are required to register for two seminar courses, Professionalism in Public Health I (1 credit) and Professionalism in Public Health II (1 credit) during the first year of the program.

The current list of MPH Electives can be found here.

Professionalism in Public Health I (CHLH 594)

The overall goal of this course is to introduce MPH students to concepts of professionalism and public service. These concepts directly prepare students for the MPH Applied Practice Experience (APE) and the MPH culminating experience, also known as the Integrative Learning Experience (ILE).

Professionalism in Public Health II (CHLH 594)

The overall goal of this course is to introduce MPH students to concepts of professionalism and public service. These concepts directly prepare students for the MPH Applied Practice Experience (APE) and the MPH culminating experience, also known as the Integrative Learning Experience (ILE).
