Capstone Experience

4 students observing a medical procedure on a rubber replica of a personThe MS in Health Technology is a one-year intensive, innovative program that combines human factors/UX with engineering principles and design for health. Capstone sponsors will pitch their ideas in the Fall semester, meet 2-3 times in the Spring with their student to develop the idea, and meet weekly with their student in the Summer when the student executes the project.

Student activiies can include (but are not limited to):

  • Needs assessment
  • Heuristic evaluation
  • Usability testing
  • AI, machine learning, and data analytics
  • User interface design
  • Rapid prototyping
  • User-centered design
