Dr. Kang’s research focuses on developing analytical and simulation models for improvement of patient outcomes, system performance, and decision-making in healthcare systems and public health. Using the quantitative models, she has contributed to identifying underlying problems in healthcare operations management and care models for chronic diseases, predicting patient outcomes, and proposing effective interventions to address challenges from a holistic perspective. Her research has involved multi-disciplinary team collaboration to incorporate intimate knowledge of problems with quantitative models and provide solutions implementable in practice.
