Justine Kaplan is the Director of the Master of Public Health Program, the Interim Director of the MSHA Program, and a Lecturer. She teaches core courses in the MPH program, including Chronic Disease Prevention and Public Health Practice.

Ms. Kaplan received her MSPH from the Harvard School of Public Health and was a Reynolds Foundation Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. Ms. Kaplan has more than 15 years of experience in public health practice and management focused on chronic disease prevention programming and policy change in asthma, diabetes, heart disease, nutrition, physical activity, and tobacco. She also has significant experience in emergency preparedness and response, including work with Hurricane Katrina and the H1N1 influenza outbreak. In both fields, her work has focused on improving health in underserved communities.
