Ariel Freehill

Ariel Freehill received a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her bachelor’s degree is in Community Health with a concentration in Health Planning and Administration also from the University of Illinois.

She currently serves as the Wellness & Prevention Coordinator for the Quality Improvement team at Health Alliance Medical Plans located in Champaign, Illinois. In this role, Mrs. Freehill works with a variety of teams to better serve members of the health plan by implementing different interventions to address specific health measures.

Mrs. Freehill also serves as an Adjunct Instructor for the College of Applied Health Sciences with the University of Illinois. As an instructor, she has been involved with teaching a variety of Community Health courses for undergraduate students. She has also instructed courses for the Master of Health Administration program with classes geared towards an overview of healthcare and professional development.

Prior to her current roles, Mrs. Freehill held various internship positions within the healthcare field as a graduate student. She has held positions with a small rural clinic, a rural critical access hospital, and an ambulance organization. One major accomplishment as a graduate student was being selected for an internship position with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee but due to the pandemic was not able to fulfill this role.
