Bruno Nunes has been leading projects focused on access to health services, chronic diseases, multimorbidity, and machine learning using equity approaches. His primary research field is machine learning in epidemiology. He has applied Artificial Intelligence to improve public health in Brazil since 2018 and was one of the first researchers to receive funding for predicting emergency services utilization. Dr. Nunes has experience in teaching, scientific publishing, mentoring and interdisciplinary collaborations. Having published over 100 scientific papers, he also served as a mentor to researchers from different levels and as an editor and reviewer for scientific journals in public health.
