The Center on Health, Aging and Disability in the College of Applied Health Sciences leads interdisciplinary research initiatives within the college. We:
- Emphasize health and well-being at every stage of life.
- Support livable communities and promote living well with disabilities.
- Promote discoveries that tackle key health and social issues.
- Support collaboration between campus researchers and outside partners.
Research Themes
Collaborations in Health, Aging, Research, & Technology (CHART) is a research program that brings together Illinois faculty, community members and healthcare providers. They focus on supporting research that helps people age successfully with technology. Collaborations in the Advancement of Research on Disability (CARD) is a research program bringing together Illinois faculty, students, community members, industry partners and healthcare providers to focus on disability-related research and outreach.
