Study Abroad

Thank you for your interest in studying abroad with AHS! Check our section on the Illinois Education Abroad site for all current AHS study abroad opportunities, which include short-term, faculty-led options as well as semester and year study abroad opportunities.

AHS students can review information about studying abroad in the AHS Study Abroad Canvas. Students with questions about academic requirements are encouraged to contact ahs-studyabroad@illinois.edu

Here are summaries of recent AHS faculty-led trips.

England

Students in RST 199: Global Interpretations of Recreation, Sport and Tourism go on a spring trip to England. This course lets students experience one of the world’s best tourist spots up close. For more information, contact Mike Raycraft at mraycraf@illinois.edu.

Italy

Students explore Italy through a faculty-led Study Abroad program. This program focuses on the Italian public health system. They visit a regulatory agency in the Italian Ministry of Health. They also check out a resource center that manages the coronavirus pandemic in Lombardy. This program teaches students about emergency preparedness and COVID-19 experiences.

For more information, contact Aline Lamas at aline@illinois.edu.
