Monica Turchyn is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she completed a joint BS-MPH program with a concentration in Health Behavior and Promotion in 2024. During her time as a graduate student, Monica served as a graduate assistant for the Master of Public Health Program while also working in home health care. Her diverse internship experiences include working with the Champaign Urbana Public Health District and the Center for Healthcare Innovation, a non-profit organization in Chicago, IL. These internships allowed her to engage with a range of public health issues that she is deeply passionate about, including maternal health, food access and security, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and sexual health services.

Monica is now bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to the classroom as an Adjunct Instructor at the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She will be teaching a variety of public health topics, including Public Health Practice and Medical Ethics. Monica is dedicated to helping students explore their career paths and encouraging them to strive for excellence in their academic and professional endeavors."
