Navigating the civilian workforce and securing meaningful employment is a core element of transitioning out of the military. Unfortunately, too many Veterans struggle with this process.

A research team led by the Chez Veterans Center completed a comprehensive national study on Veteran employment with the post 9/11 generation. Findings from the study will be revealed during “Veterans in the Labor Market: Readiness, Recruitment, Retention,” a virtual event taking place on November 16 from 1-5 p.m.

Hosted by the CVC in partnership with the School of Labor and Employment Relations, the Project for Middle Class Renewal, Jobpath, and the US Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service, the event will examine issues related to Veterans in the labor market, including job satisfaction, best practices for career fairs targeting Veterans, and the top challenges Veterans face in finding meaningful employment.
