Research Interest
Darcy is a Ph.D. student whose research focuses on mindfulness and well-being within the contexts of leisure and tourism. Her previous work delves into areas such as nature-based mindfulness, virtual experience in mindfulness, and IT mindfulness settings. Under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Payne and Dr. Joelle Soulard, Darcy is currently examining mindfulness practice in terms of personal well-being and social function. She is passionate about epistemological thinking and qualitative research. She gained diverse professional experiences in Hong Kong, Kenya, and Florida after she earned the master degree in Cultural Anthropology. Beyond her academic pursuits, Darcy is an animal lover, a nature enthusiast, and a music aficionado.
