Undergraduate Admissions

Undergraduate applications are handled by the Office of Admissions and Records of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, not by the Department of Recreation, Sport, and Tourism. For more information, use the links to the Office of Admissions, http://admissions.illinois.edu.

Freshman

A freshman applicant is either (a) one who applies for admission while attending high school or (b) one who has graduated from high school but completed fewer than 12 semester hours of transferable college classroom credit.

Transfer Students

A transfer applicant is one who will have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours (or equivalent) of transferable college credit by the desired term of entry and who does not meet the definition of a beginning freshman applicant.

Intercollege Transfer

Students who are currently on campus and are considering applying to transfer into the department are encouraged to attend an ICT interest meeting. The academic advisor will discuss transfer requirements, timelines and general information about transferring into the department. Students are encouraged to review the curriculum and internship requirements outlined on this website prior to the meeting. Please see the flyer below for meeting dates and times.
