Faculty Profile

Dr. Agate earned a Phd in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from Clemson University.  Her research focuses on exploring how transformative experiences contribute to developing components of emotional intelligence. Specifically, she is currently exploring how to design empowering recreation experiences for women and girls, how to design and facilitate transformative conversations, and how deliberative dialogues can be used to help people develop components of emotional intelligence.
